A Day for Polar Bears

Todays forcast in Milwaukee was white death incranate.... With a freezing fog (yes thats really what the weather report said!) and general abisimal condition, the Breakaway Couriers carried on.
The comments from people that I got were pretty universal and I found myself in a constant all long day interview with office monkeys and security guards about "just how bad it was out there." It sort of blows my mind that many

Usually the Dept of Homeland Security would have

jumped me for parking this close to Fed Court,
today was the exception

people downtown enter a building in the morning and never actually see daylight or any part of the outdoors for their entire shift! Anyway enough of that shit, I'll share with ya some of the comments I got today....

Top 5...

5. How do you get traction on a bike?

4. How do you keep from slippin' round?

3. Do you have chains on your tires?

2. Wow! I think you have the worst job in the world!

1. Your a crazy f*ckin white boy?

Winter Lifting

So with the track season just around the corner, we all need something to bulk up our legs.  I'm counting on my Macho Machine to get me into sweet shape.

Welcome!

So I got up this morning and decided that I needed another blog that covered cycling only. This blog mostly covers the bicycle culture from a Milwaukee prespective, but will also draw in elements from all over the place....

As for me who am I?

My name is Jon, I'm a former track, mountain bike and road racer. I've been riding and racing bikes for longer than I can ever remember and have had alot of fun with it.

Currently, I am a courier at Breakaway Bicycle Couriers in Milwaukee, WI and a general lover of all things related to the ever growing and transforming culture of cycling.

Hopefully, this blog will inspire you to get up off of your ass and ride your bike.

Peace and Goodwill
